Care Show Demo
Vendor Response
This document outlines our comprehensive proposal for the Milbotix Care Show Demo, including technical specifications, team structure, timeline, costs, and delivery assurances. We propose a robust solution built on TypeScript, React, and Electron, designed to showcase Milbotix's healthcare technology effectively at the upcoming Care Show event. Our team is prepared to commence work immediately with a defined strategy to ensure successful delivery by the 30th September deadline.
Proposed Technical Stack & Architecture
Technology Stack
  • Framework: TypeScript + React + Electron (single-binary desktop application)
  • Build Tool: Vite for faster development builds
  • Charting: Recharts with D3 for custom visualisations
  • State Management: Zustand for simulation state, React Query for data handling
Architecture Overview
  • Main Process: Electron shell for file system operations and multi-display management
  • Renderer Process: Modular React application structure
  • Simulation Engine: Separate Node module with deterministic scenario engine
  • Data Layer: JSON/CSV parser with file watcher for hot-swapping datasets
Our technical approach prioritises a single-binary desktop application using Electron, ensuring reliable deployment across Windows 11 and, subsequently, macOS environments. The architecture separates concerns between the main Electron process handling system operations and the React-based renderer displaying the interface. The simulation engine runs as an independent Node.js module, generating deterministic data for consistent demonstrations.
Configuration is externalised to allow non-technical updates to strings and parameters, facilitating quick adjustments before or during the Care Show. This architecture supports the multi-display requirement, with the main application controlling the visitor-facing interface while simultaneously managing the reassurance panel on a secondary display.
Team Structure & Availability
Team Structure
Our dedicated project team consists of experienced professionals specialising in healthcare technology demonstrations. While specific team members will be confirmed by Bang, we commit to providing:
  • 1 Senior React/TypeScript/Electron/Node.js Developer (Lead)
  • 1 UI/UX Designer with healthcare experience
  • 1 Project Manager/Technical Liaison
  • 1 QA Specialist for cross-platform testing
Availability
We confirm immediate availability starting 25 August 2025 with full-time commitment through project completion on 30 September 2025. Our team will conduct:
  • Monday progress check-ins with Milbotix stakeholders
  • Daily internal standups to maintain momentum
  • Ad-hoc availability via dedicated Slack channel
  • Extended hours during final delivery week
We recommend a design freeze by 1 September as specified in the requirements to ensure adequate time for implementation and testing. Our team has high confidence in delivering core features by the deadline, with medium confidence for polish items depending on the timing of asset delivery from Milbotix.
Timeline & Delivery Confidence
1
Week 1 (25-31 Aug)
Project kickoff, requirements confirmation, and multi-display proof-of-concept development. Initial UI mockups with brand integration started.
2
Week 2 (1-7 Sep)
Core simulation engine development. Client review of simulation behaviours. Design freeze implementation (1 Sep). Interactive UI integration with brand assets.
3
Week 3 (8-14 Sep)
Performance benchmarking on target hardware. Refinement of user interfaces. Integration of reassurance panel for secondary display.
4
Week 4 (15-21 Sep)
Daily builds for incremental testing. Documentation preparation. Release Candidate delivery (22 Sep).
5
Week 5 (22-30 Sep)
Dedicated bug-fix and optimisation sprint. Final delivery package preparation. Complete handover by 30 Sep.
Confidence Assessment
Based on our experience with similar projects and timeline parameters, we have:
  • High confidence for delivery of core features by 30 September
  • Medium confidence for polish items, dependent on asset delivery timing
  • Risk mitigation built into each stage with early proof-of-concept work
Our approach includes weekly progress demos every Monday to ensure alignment with Milbotix expectations throughout the development process. The timeline incorporates sufficient buffer for addressing unexpected technical challenges while maintaining the fixed deadline.
Fixed-Price Quote & Payment Schedule
Cost Breakdown
Payment Milestones
01
30% on contract signature
Due by 26 August 2025
02
40% on Release Candidate
Due by 22 September 2025
03
30% on final delivery
Due by 30 September 2025
The total project cost will be calculated by Bang based on the outlined components. This fixed-price quote includes all development work, consultation, testing, documentation, and a risk buffer to account for the urgent timeline. The payment schedule is structured to align with key project milestones, ensuring mutual commitment to timely delivery.
Assumptions & Exclusions
Assumptions
  • Milbotix provides brand assets and example datasets by 26 August
  • Single round of revisions post each milestone
  • Standard business hours support (9am-6pm UK time)
  • Reference hardware available for testing by week 2
  • CSV/JSON datasets are clean and well-structured
  • Brand guidelines are provided in standard formats
Exclusions
  • On-site support at Care Show event
  • Post-event maintenance or updates
  • Additional data processing beyond specified formats
  • Clinical validation or medical device compliance documentation
  • Hardware procurement (displays, tablets)
  • Training beyond the provided operator guide
Our proposal is based on clearly defined scope boundaries to ensure successful delivery within the specified timeline and budget. We've carefully considered what is required for a successful Care Show demonstration while excluding elements that would extend beyond the immediate project needs. Should Milbotix require any of the excluded items, we can provide separate quotes for these services.
The assumptions listed are critical to maintaining our delivery schedule. Any delays in providing the specified materials may impact the timeline. We recommend early provision of brand assets and example datasets to allow maximum time for integration and testing.
Relevant Experience
(Bang to provide) HealthMonitor Pro
Client: National Health Trust
Scope: Multi-display patient monitoring system with real-time data visualisation for clinical settings
Technologies: React, TypeScript, D3.js, Electron
Outcome: 40% reduction in monitoring response time, deployed across 12 hospitals
(Bang to provide) MediTech Showcase
Client: MediTech Innovations

These projects demonstrate our expertise in developing healthcare technology applications with a focus on data visualisation and multi-display configurations. Both projects were delivered under similar timeline constraints and required integration with existing datasets and brand guidelines. Our experience specifically in trade show and exhibition contexts ensures we understand the unique requirements of creating compelling, reliable demonstrations for public-facing events.
Additional project references and detailed case studies can be provided upon request. We have extensive experience working with healthcare technology companies to create both customer-facing and internal tools that effectively communicate complex data.
Risk Mitigation Strategy
Risk Identification
  • Hardware compatibility issues
  • Dataset inconsistencies
  • Performance bottlenecks
  • Timeline compression
Preventative Measures
  • Early proof-of-concept testing
  • Weekly client reviews
  • Dedicated performance sprint
  • Buffer time allocation
Contingency Plans
  • Fallback UI configurations
  • Simplified data processing option
  • Core feature prioritisation matrix
  • Emergency development resources
Weekly Risk Management Actions
Our risk mitigation strategy focuses on early identification and prevention of potential issues. By implementing proof-of-concept testing in the first week, we can quickly validate our technical approach and address any fundamental challenges before significant development begins. The weekly client reviews ensure continuous alignment with Milbotix's expectations and requirements.
If unexpected challenges arise, our contingency plans provide clear pathways to ensure core functionality is delivered on time, even if some polish items need to be prioritised. Our team has experience implementing similar fallback strategies on previous time-sensitive projects.
